OUR TEAM AT APOLLO HAS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BOTH TEACHING AND WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY, AND HAVE ATTENDED SOME OF THE BEST DRAMA SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY WHERE THEY LEARNED FROM THE BEST, MEANING THAT THERE’S NOBODY BETTER IN BRIGHTON & HOVE TO HELP OUR STUDENTS GROW.

  • FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL & LEAD ADVANCED TUTOR - BRIGHTON & HOVE

    Katy began performing at the age of 4 in ‘The King and I’ and following her training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, went on to perform professionally on and off for 22 years. Credits include Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jack & The Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, The Wind In The Willows, Jekyll & Hyde, Snow White & The Seven Dwarves, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Whistle Down The Wind, Seize The Day (Original Cast), A Ring Of Roses (Original Cast), The Sound of Music, A Little Night Music and Urinetown. Since embarking on her teaching career, Katy has become a vastly experienced producer, director and choreographer and in her role at the Apollo Academy tutors dance, singing and drama, LAMDA examinations in acting, verse & prose and musical theatre, audition training and competition training. Katy has had students in numerous professional shows including Matilda (West End), Les Miserables (West End and World Tour), Billy Elliot (West End), Shrek (West End), Oliver! (West End), An Inspector Calls (UK Tour), Goodnight Mister Tom (UK Tour), Annie (West End and UK Tour), Ruthless (West End) and The Sound of Music (UK Tour). Katy has also coached many students for successful auditions for drama schools, both in London and the USA. Katy has a huge passion for teaching and finds it incredibly rewarding to see her students grow, both as people and performers. She feels incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team!

    DANCE TUTOR - HOVE

    Caitlin trained at the Emil Dale Academy, graduating in 2020. Most recently, she performed as Amber Von Tussle in the hit musical Hairspray aboard the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas. Caitlin’s credits also includes appearances in various music videos, pantomimes, and workshops. Passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience, Caitlin is thrilled to join the Apollo team and is eager to inspire and work with the students.

  • ADVANCED DANCE TUTOR

    Holly has been teaching dance for 10 years and loves helping all young people find and share the joy in performing. She is passionate about creating a space where students can develop, explore and have fun with no judgement or fear. She trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), gaining a Foundation Certificate in Dance before completing her BA (Hons) in Performing Arts at the Institute for Contemporary Theatre. She is super excited to have joined the Apollo team and officially become part of the fantastic Apollo family!

  • SINGING TUTOR - HOVE

    Max is a long time member of Apollo, having appeared in over 15 shows and was an inaugural member of the Advanced Academy class. Max went on to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has since done a number of jobs including playing ‘The Joker’ in ‘The Choir of Man’. Singing has always been Max’s favourite discipline within performing. He has a great passion for developing students' voices through different styles and techniques and, as a musician and writer, he loves to create new arrangements of songs to try and make singing as exciting as possible. Max is thrilled to be joining the Apollo faculty, having experienced first hand that Apollo can change your life!

  • DRAMA TUTOR - HOVE

    Faith graduated from Performers College in 2023 with a First-Class Honours degree in Acting. She has since worked professionally across stage and screen, appearing in several short films and co-founding the theatre company Oblique Theatre. Earlier this year, the company debuted at the Brighton Fringe with the original production “Cowpokes in a Bunkhouse”, which Faith co-wrote and co-directed with Saskia Monteiro.

    Alongside her creative work, Faith has been teaching drama for the past three years and is passionate about inspiring the next generate of performers and creatives.

  • DRAMA TUTOR - BRIGHTON & HOVE

    Sam is an award winning professional actor, director and filmmaker from Brighton with years of experience working in and around the performing arts. Sam recently trained for three years at the Institute of Contemporary Theatre in 2020 and has since gone on to perform in professional productions such as Two Pairs of Eyes, Much Ado About Nothing and Troilus and Cressida. Sam has appeared in music videos alongside Jess Glynne and Will Young and has recently finished working on a pilot episode of a new TV show which has been picked up by Netflix, amongst many other credits. Sam is also a professional headshot photographer with his own studio in Brighton as well as an award nominated videographer and filmmaker, often shooting actors showreels and his own short films. Sam is really excited to begin working with Apollo having loved seeing some of their brilliant previous productions!

    MINIS TUTOR - HOVE

    Leah studied Music and Musical Theatre at Chichester Conservatioire, graduating in 2022. She worked for 18 months as the Park Vocalist and Entertainment Manager at a Haven holiday park before moving back to Brighton to focus more on her teaching. Leah herself joined Apollo in 2014 and appeared in many shows including Loserville, High School Musical, The Pajama Game, Les Miserables, The Producers, Rock of Ages and Spring Awakening. She is thrilled to be back at Apollo in a teaching capacity.

  • PATRON

    Hailing from Brighton, Bradley trained at GSA and has since gone on to have an incredibly successful professional career. Credits include Papa Bear and Shrek in Shrek (West End), Ghost (UK Tour) Enjolras in Les Miserables (West End) and Fiyero in Wicked (World Tour & West End), Javert in Les Miserables (West End) and Bradley is currently playing Javert in the Arena World Tour of Les Miserables. Bradley regularly attends The Apollo Academy and has led both Shrek and Les Miserables workshops for the Apollo students.

    Charlotte trained at Mountview and has gone on to have an extensive career both on stage and screen. Credits include Flashdance, Loserville, Fiddler On The Roof, She Loves Me, Vivienne in the UK Tour of Legally Blonde, A Hero’s Welcome & Confusions, Doctors (BBC), Deep State (Fox), Informer (BBC & Amazon), No Offence (Channel 4) as well as a host of commercials. Charlotte regularly visits The Academy to give workshops, as well as sitting on our panel during mock auditions for our drama school auditionees, providing valuable insight and guidance to career hopefuls.
